Frequently Asked Questions
- Spa Etiquette
To ensure that you and those around you experience the full benefits of Montage, we suggest the following:
- Arrive 10 minutes prior to appointment time to check in and fill out required paperwork. Arriving late will only deprive you of precious minutes for your spa treatment. Should you arrive late, your treatment will end on time so that the next client isn’t delayed.
- Please turn your cell phone on vibrate so you and the others around you can have a relaxing, quiet appointment, (ideally) with no interruptions.
- Please be considerate of other Montage guests—no loud talking or cell phone conversations.
- Please leave young children at home. This is your special time to pamper yourself. Don’t feel guilty! This will make you an even better mom!
- What is your cancellation policy?
If you must cancel or reschedule an appointment, as a courtesy to other guests and our therapists, 24-hour notice is required to avoid being charged 100% of the price on all treatments scheduled.
- Where do I park?
One of the best things about Montage is the convenience. We have ample free parking in front, but if those spaces are filled, there’s more free parking just around the corner in back of the building.
- How old do I need to be to visit the spa?
All ages are welcome at Montage. Many young women start coming to Montage as teens (we just need a parent’s permission). We have beautiful and beloved clients in their 90’s and of course all ages in between.
- Do you take walk-in appointments?
We are currently only booking services by appointment and are not receiving walk-in clients at this time.
- What time do you schedule your last appointment?
It depends on your therapist, and the service being provided. Please contact the spa and we will do our best to accommodate your schedule.
- What if I'm sick on the day of my appointment?
We want to keep Montage healthy for staff and clients alike and ask that you do not come to the spa if you are sick. Please contact the front desk or your therapist to reschedule your appointment.
- What are the benefits of joining M3?
Once you experience the treatments at Montage, you’ll find yourself making monthly appointments anyway to maintain your glowing skin, relaxed body or beautiful spray tan. By joining the M3 Montage Monthly Membership Program, you will enjoy big savings as well as beautiful results. Having a special standing appointment set aside just for you each month is a reward you deserve and will make you look and feel better, inside and out.
- Do you have any tips for before and after waxing?
Please note: Montage only offers facial waxing and tweezing at this time.
What to do before your wax:
- Female clients may have heightened sensitivity during the week prior or during menstruation.
- Be careful before you wax: Do not use Retin-A/Renova up to 30 days prior. Do not use Accutane up to 90 days prior.
Post-Waxing Tips:
- To keep from irritating the skin: Aloe Vera or Hydrocortisone cream can be used as a topical application, if skin in the waxed area becomes irritated.
- Keep the waxed area clean, but do not use harsh cleansers or creams for 24-48 hours post wax.
No hot showers or baths, sunbathing or tanning for 24-48 hours post wax.
To get the most out of your wax:
- Do not exfoliate the skin for 2-3 days post wax, then exfoliate regularly to help prevent ingrown hairs.
- Medical conditions and allergies
Please notify a Spa Coordinator when booking your appointments about physical ailments, medical conditions and/or allergies. This will allow us to further personalize your treatments. These may include pregnancy, high blood pressure, heart conditions, or other medical conditions. Therapists cannot work on clients with open wounds, abrasions, etc.
- Health benefits to spa visits
The guaranteed benefit of a Spa visit is your immersion in a calming environment, which reduces stress. Stress reduction is one of the major contributors to good health.
- Pregnancy and spa treatments
Many women find that spa treatments are very helpful in relieving some pain and stress from pregnancy. Please consult your doctor with any other concerns or questions.
